New Tech High @ Coppell sophomore Anekah Kelley was elected DECA state District 11 president for the 2020-21 school year. Kelley is the third consecutive NTH@C student who is a district officer.

Recently, more Indian Americans have been represented in the media including Mindy Kailings upcoming comedy series on Netflix “Never Have I Ever”, Hasan Minhaj’s political comedy show “Patriot Act” and Lily Singhs talk show, “A Little Late with Lilly Singh.” The Sidekick staff writer Anvitha Reddy identifies the need for more representation of Indian Americans in lead roles in TV and film.
