Cowgirls dominate district meet to come home for regional competition

The Coppell girls wrestling team won the District 4-6A championship on Saturday at Haltom High School. The meet was postponed to Saturday due to weather conditions.

The Cowgirls defeated Flower Mound and Hurst L.D. Bell with a striking 248 points.

The Cowgirls advance to the Class 6A Region I tournament against Keller, El Paso and Arlington on Friday and Saturday at CHS Arena.

Kelton Chen is a senior at Coppell High School and a first year member on The Sidekick. As an aspiring photographer, Kelton decided to try something new that would allow him to pursue his passion in photography. Combined with other people recommending the program, he decided to join The Sidekick. In his free time, Kelton enjoys playing the piano and violin, video games like Roblox or doing research on new foods to try around the DFW complex.
