The Coppell girls golf team concluded its competitive season with placing 10th at the 2026 UIL Class 6A State Tournament with 675 points. The Cowgirls shot 337 on Day 1 and 338 on Day 2.
Senior golfer Riya Bapna shot 151, senior Nethra Sheri shot 168, Adira Navarathinam shot 176, senior Isabella Nguyen shot 180 and junior Sabrina Tam shot 199
Starting off strong with the spring season, the girls placed first at the District 5-6A Tournament and placed third at the Class 6A Region I Tournament.
“The girls have improved throughout the entire year, saving the best for the last two months,” Coppell girls golf coach Gary Beyer said.
The team faced resilience as they overcame losing two players from last season’s state championship team.
“They never gave up and still made it back to where only 12 teams qualified,” Beyer said. “I am very proud of their perseverance.”
