On Tuesday, the Coppell girls basketball team defeated Hebron, 43-26, at Coppell High School Arena.
The Cowgirls led throughout the game behind strong defense.
“We executed how we were supposed to execute, looking out for each other and pushing the ball up whenever we had to,” Coppell senior forward Kennedy Paul said. “We were hyped going into the game and lifted each other instead of only playing for ourselves.”

The Cowgirls focused on matchups and ran through the Hawk’s offensive sets to prepare their defense.
“We went in with the right mindset and controlled the pace from start to finish,”
Coppell coach Ravyn Terry said. “We did a better job of finding our mismatches in the second half.”
Coppell plays Denton Guyer on Friday at CHS Arena.
“For the next match, we’ll work on halfcourt defense because that’s what got our win today,” Terry said. “We struggled with Guyer last Friday, so focusing on gap coverage and closeouts will hopefully get us ready for their fast-paced style of play.”
