The country is pulling itself out of a depression and the fashion world is rocking as this season’s shows predict what 2010 fashions will look like.
Over the knee / knee high boots are showing up everywhere this season. The boots can be dressed up or down, and are available in towns all over America in general stores such as Dillard’s, JC Penny, and Macys.
Leather clothing will be seen on the streets of cities such as Washington DC and New York City as they bundle up for the cold in outfits that are warm and fashionable. In the office, leather skirts are making it big with tights and flats, as pants are worn under boots and with frilly and lacy tops.
Military trends are making a comeback as they haven’t been seen since bohemian fashion hit it big. Tops and jackets with lapels and side to side patterns, ending in buttons, are hitting the streets on shirts that are usually stuffed with shoulder pads and tassels.
Just when you thought it was finally over, ripped jeans are brought back in. Starting in 2008 the jeans made a new appearance, and now, in the fall and winter season, jeans with more rips then fabric are being worn by celebrities and they are hitting the streets.
