Last night Coppell High School’s very own Sharon Mathai made an appearance on The Voice as she and many others took the stage to display their musical talents. Sharon, know as “Mathai” on the program, graduated in 2010 and attended college at Texas Women’s University on a full ride where she studied nursing.

Mathai soon realized that her talent for singing was something more special and took a year off of school to pursue her singing career. She packed her bags for Los Angeles with her agent where she later auditioned for The Voice.

Her debut last night blew viewers away as she light up the stage singing Adele’s Rumor Has It. Her impressive voice along with her beauty and bubbly personality gained the audiences’ attention as well as the judges.

Mathai along with many others will be continuing on in the show as they work together with their teams to gain the title of The Voice champions. Make sure and tune in to CBS every Monday night at 7 pm to support our rising star.
