Today, September 20th, Epic games released the final installment of the extremely popular trilogy Gears of War 3.

If you are not familiar with the game trilogy, this third person shooter series follows the main character Marcus Fenix and his team of soldiers, Delta Squad, through the apocalyptic world battling the Locust, which are alien, monster type things. I realize that was a very brief and confusing summary but this will make a lot more sense if you go to ign.com or just play the game yourself.

For long time fans of the trilogy this is the moment we have been waiting for since 2006. The game looks extremely similar to the past two games but the lighting and smoke really brings out the intensity in the firefights. The campaign, according to ign, should take around 15 to 20 hours of game play but is sure to entertain the entire time because its spontaneous action and the games corny story telling.

Also, the multiplayer has been revamped and the game play is sure to impress any shooter fan. New modes have been added such as beast mode 2.0 and team death match which will entertain players into the holiday season.
