Spiderman isn’t the only superhero getting a movie reboot. The Man of Steel will return to the big screen and will be played by actor Henry Cavill. This isn’t the first superhero Cavill has had hopes of playing though. He was rumored to have been in the running to play Batman in Christopher Nolan’s film (the part went to Christian Bale) and also Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern film (that went to Ryan Reynolds). He was even attached to an earlier Superman movie that never made it to production. It seems all of Cavill’s hard work has finally paid off.
Cavill, who has been in films such as The Count of Monte Cristo and Tristan & Isolde as well as the hit television series “The Tudors”, will work with director Zack Snyder on the film.
