Riya Suresh is a junior and a second-year staff writer for The Sidekick.
Despite joining The Sidekick to be a writer, she loves exploring other positions such as photography and design.
When she’s not doing homework or working on a story, Riya is always down to work out, try new foods, shop around at Southlake Town Square or watch horror movies. She also plays the New York Times games religiously, and she specifically enjoys Pips. Outside of The Sidekick, she is involved in other organizations: the girls powerlifting team and Collections4Champs, her nonprofit.

Dayami Granados, Staff Photographer
Dayami Granados is a junior and a second-year staff photographer for The Sidekick.
Her interests consist of photography, writing poems, playing games and watching movies or shows in her spare time.
She enjoys listening to music and loves sharing with others. She recommends: “All They Wanted” by Panchiko, “If You Can’t Hang” by Sleeping With Sirens and “Tren Al Sur” by Los Prisioneros.
She’s a junior leader in the photography club at Coppell High School and a part of Coppell High School Speakers Association.
She loves her 6-year-old cat Mina dearly and holds a motherly bond with her.

Naseeha Masood, Executive Advertising/Business Director
Naseeha Masood is a junior and the executive advertising/business director for The Sidekick.
After hearing about The Sidekick during CHS open house, she decided to join to try out sports photography. Now, she likes to dabble into everything The Sidekick has to offer.
Her favorite pastimes are rewatching comfort shows, creating Spotify playlists for her every mood and playing volleyball.

Ayaan Salaar is a senior and staff photographer for The Sidekick
After dabbling in photography, Ayaan found a love for a new hobby and a class where he can enjoy it.
In the 2025-2026 School year, The Sidekick was considered a home to Ayaan, with many of his improving works being used in stories.

Clara Lane, Staff Writer
Clara Lane is a sophomore at Coppell High School and balances her journalistic pursuits as a staff writer for The Sidekick with her various extracurricular activities.
In the realm of sports, Lane actively participates in volleyball, competing with the club team Drive Nation. Outside of the court, she enjoys supporting and watching the college Nebraska volleyball team and professional men’s soccer team Real Madrid. She is also involved in the Coppell High School JV theater program.
Her primary motivation for joining The Sidekick was her strong interest in writing, specifically entertainment stories. She aims to expand her skills by learning to incorporate various journalism techniques to enhance her work. In her free time Lane expresses her creativity through painting, socializing with peers, and listening to music.
