From sharing a birthday to having secret jokes, the woman who has helped me be who I am today is my sister Ayman Salaar.
On January 21, 2006 around 3:20 a.m., my parents were blessed with a daughter. Two years later at 3:40 a.m., I was born. Throughout the years, Ayman and I would go through everything together.
We would sit together on the bus when we could. If I was being bullied in school she would talk to the teacher about the problem. But most importantly she gives advice. From Sheridan Elementary School in Katy to Coppell High School, we always had our fun times.

When we lived in Houston, my uncle bought a dog. Its name was Aries. He took us to the park one day and I was annoying her constantly and Ayman was about to hit me with her shoe. Instead, she told Aries to attack me while holding the shoe still.
Aries thought she was playing with him, so he started running around, scaring my sister into the car. Despite the fact she tried to get Aries to attack me, she gave me a good laugh at the sight of her command backfiring.
While we lived in Houston, Ayman and I would do so many things together from watching “My Little Pony” to playing with doll houses.
I had a stuffed chickadee I loved, and when my sister played with her dolls, I joined in playing as the chickadee.
Once she put one of our parrots in the dollhouse and I had my finger out for our bird to hop onto. We didn’t think he would actually hop on my finger, but he did, and it caught me so off guard that I screamed loudly. My sister took the bird off my finger and I ran away in fear.
When I entered CHS, Ayman was a senior. I miss having her on campus. Despite the small arguments we have from time to time, we always end up forgiving each other and making more jokes.
