Maddy Park

Maddy Park, Staff Photographer

Maddy Park is a senior and a second-year staff photographer on The Sidekick

Maddy ended up in The Sidekick in an unexpected way. After landing a leg injury in soccer, she thought, why not join the school’s newspaper? From owning Sidekick subscriptions before, she enjoyed reading the newspaper and decided that she wanted to be a part of the process.

When she’s not taking photos, she can be seen making art as she has been a part of Coppell High School’s art program for four years. Outside of school, she plays for her club soccer team, DKSC, and enjoys hanging out with her German Shepard and black cat. She loves boba tea and any non-spicy Korean food. Her favorite movie is La La Land and she loves listening to all sorts of music.

You can contact her through her email at [email protected] or on Instagram (@maddy.yp_73).

With more custom built houses and luxury apartments being developed, Coppell’s real estate prices have experienced a dramatic increase in recent years. As a result of the high housing rates, less young families are moving to Coppell and enrollment in Coppell ISD schools has dropped.
