I stayed up till 12:55 last night only to be disappointed. Like many teenagers across the country, I stayed up late to get the highly anticipated “Stimulus Package” for their very successful game “Modern Warfare 2.”
But alas, the game did not work on my Xbox, and I soon realized that it wasn’t working on anybody’s Xbox Live account.
About a week ago I traveled to Target, which is the greatest store on the face of the planet, to purchase my Microsoft gamer points. Gamer points allow you to buy things such as game demos, add-ons and even themes for your Xbox all on your Xbox.
The Stimulus Package that Infinity Ward is releasing comes with five maps that can be played in online multiplayer matches.
Three are brand new maps, “Bailout” which takes place in and outside of an apartment complex. Then there is “Storm” which is a rainy warehouse where you fight inside and out. The last new map is called “Salvage” which is a small snow covered map set in a junkyard.
The two remakes in the package are two that were on Call of Duty 4. “Overgrown” and “Crash” have been re-amped and re-tuned to be better than ever.
Hopefully the download works when I reach home today.
