There are those who would try to argue that seeing musicians live is a waste and that the CD would always be better. Then there are those who just don’t understand the amazing experience that comes with a concert.
Contrary to the belief of some, concerts can be beneficial. Though spending money on tickets and merchandise may not be, the experience as a whole is beneficial. Seeing a band live is one of the most amazing experiences in my opinion. It’s not only the music that makes them amazing, but also being in the same room as someone whom you admire and whose music you enjoy.
Concerts are also the perfect places to meet new people. That’s not to say that you need to say “hello” to everyone there, but if you happen to strike up a conversation with whoever is sitting or standing next to you, it can be a great oppurtunity for a new friend. And there’s always the possibility that you could meet the people you came there to see.
Getting to experience a concert of any genre of music is an experience that’s well worth the money paid and is something all should experience.
Care to experience one for yourself? Ticketmaster is a great way to find out if the musicians you love are touring and stopping in a location near you. Also, checking venue sites such as House of Blues or the American Airlines Center is ideal for finding tickets.
