Living near Dallas, we are fortunate enough to have a great location for music, shows, sporting events and other attractions.
The upcoming event that I, personally, am most looking forward to is Taylor Swift’s tour. Swift will be returning to Dallas March 11th in the American Airlines Center as a second time for her tour “FEARLESS”. Swift’s concert tickets went onsale Oct. 20, and sold out less than 15 minutes later. However, there are some scalper websites that still have tickets available at astromomically high prices.
The next event that I am extremely excited for is, “Wicked”. “Wicked” is a Broadway musical that has been to Dallas two times previously. “Wicked” will be back to Dallas May 26th in Fair Park. “Wicked” tells the tale of what happened before Dorothy came to Oz. I have had the pleasure of seeing this fantastic show once before, and I strongly recommend it.
Another event that I am anticipating is John Mayer’s “The Battle Studies World Tour”. Mayer has been to Dallas multiple times before, and will return to the American Airlines Center on March 9th.
Another world famous musical is coming to Dallas this spring. Feb. 17, “The Phantom of the Opera” will return to Fair Park. The play is originally based on Le Fantôme de l’Opéra by Gaston Leroux. The story has also been made into a major motion picture and recieved world wide praise.
The last event that I am looking forward to is, The Harlem Globetrotters, which will apear at the American Airlines Center on Jan. 30. The Harlem Globetrotters will have two shows on the 30th, one at 11 a.m. and another at 2 p.m.
With these amazing events coming up, it seems like a crime to ignore all our city has to offer.
