The New York indie rock band Vampire Weekend released their second CD on Jan. 12 and it has already made a splash in the music world.
After its two weeks of being released, Vampire Weekend’s CD Contra is already the number one album in the United States on itunes. While not getting this much attention with their debut album, Vampire Weekend has planned a huge world tour to go with it.
Their tour starts in New York but then heads to Europe for a couple of months before they come back to the U.S. Unlike Vampire Weekend’s last tour, they are planning to go to many places that they have yet to perform before, like Texas.
Vampire Weekend is playing to shows in Texas, one in Austin on April 10 at Stubbs BBQ and then one in Dallas on April 11 at the House of Blues. This is a chance for all Texan fans of the indie band to see them live for the first time.
Tickets for the Dallas show go on sale on Jan. 22 and can be purchased on ticketmaster.com. General admission will be $25 and balcony seats will be $35.
