The Coppell Film Society delves into the Vietnam War in Apocalypse Now Redux. The Redux edition of the critically acclaimed 1979 film is an extended cut released in 2001 that will be shown in two parts, with the first part being screened on Friday, April 19 at 4:00 pm. The film is approximately 49 minutes longer than the original, hence the time constraints. The film follows Captain Benjamin J. Willard (Martin Sheen) leading a team on a dangerous mission to take down a presumed crazy Special Forces Colonel Walter E. Kurtz (Marlon Brando), who has gone rogue and begun running his own operations in Cambodia.
