UIL One Act show not to advance

By Mabry Culp
Staff Writer

The hearts were heavy but the spirits still high when the announcement came through that the cast of “Rabbit Hole”, Coppell High School’s One Act show this year, received alternate and did not advance.

The show detailed the adventure of a couple who lost a small child in a car accident and how they were making it through the heavy weight tragedy.

Under production since December of 2012, the cast and crew wasted no time after auditions were conducted getting straight to work on costumes, technique, blocking, and all the other ploys of making a critically acclaimed play.

The show was directed by Lisa Tabor, the theater department lead.

Several cast members walked away with awards, including Emily McIntire and Alex Smith making All Star cast with Amanda Clark as honorable mentions, and Lucy Cole for outstanding tech.

Although the show did not advance, the awards received left the cast in high spirits.
