On Monday the 22, Maroon 5 came out with their North American tour dates for their upcoming winter/spring shows. This tour will consist of some of their greatest hits and new songs from their latest album “Overexposed”. “Overexposed” came out late last June and Maroon 5 has been touring abroad since.
“Each track has it’s own groove to it,” sophomore Christianna Haas said. “One of my favorites, [from “Overexposed”] “Doin’ Dirt”, has like a 70’s ABBA feel to it. There are some that are slow, alternative, and then some upbeat stuff. It is a wide variety.”
The tour starts in Columbus, Ohio on Feb 13 and ends on April 6 in Rosemont, Ill. The supporting acts for this North American leg will be Neon Trees and Owl City.
The “Overexposed” tour will hit Dallas on March 21 at the American Airlines Center. This could be a great Spring Break adventure for DFW fans, but for the fans that already have their Spring Break planned, this will be a concert they will be sad to miss.
“Don’t even get me started on how upset I am that I can’t go to the “Overexposed” tour,” Haas said. “I didn’t get to see Maroon 5 last year because I had to be at the Homecoming game for band, and I can’t see them this time because for band we’re going to Washington D.C. during Spring Break. That’ll be fun, but I just love Maroon 5 so much. I will definitely have to catch them next time.”
Tickets go on sale to the public Oct. 27
