The long awaited movie The Avengers comes out this weekend to what is sure to be a huge fanbase.
Starring a whole host of familiar faces – stars like Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Capitan America and Scarlett Johansen as the Black Widow – the avengers is sure to draw attention from old fans and newcomers alike. Directed by Joss Whedon, who is famous among lovers of little known works Firefly and The Dollhouse, this will hopefully be a hit with fans and not just another formulaic Hollywood attempt to make a quick buck.
Scoring an 8.9 on IMDb and a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes gives a good indicator if nothing else.
