It can be really exciting to see a film you hold so dear to you heart return to the big screen. Lately, the 3D bandwagon has been overtaken by Disney classics and even James Cameron’s Titanic, a groundbreaking film that touched the hearts of millions. After hearing mixed reviews about previous well-known movies adapted to 3D, I remained skeptical about the experience. However, tonight, I caved to the pressure of seeing one of my all time favorite movies in theaters, and I do not regret a single penny spent.
If you have never seen Titanic, even in 2D, I feel sorry for you. You have never been exposed to the emotions that run wild, capturing every moment of a historical fiction adventure that took the hearts of its viewers. It was only more wonderful in 3D.
Surprisingly, there is nothing dizzying, troubling or unsettling about seeing Titanic in 3D. It was adapted to put the audience right in the middle of what is happening, and that it exactly what it did. The actors faces look so real, it is as if you are a part of their conversations, of their world. When water rushes towards them in every direction, it sends chills down your spine, as if you are really there. Titanic remains one of the most magnificent movies I have ever seen, and the 3D makes it one of the most unique things I have ever experienced. For all of the Titanic fans out there, dishing out the extra cash for this experience if completely and totally worth it.
