As students anticipate the epic beginning to the long awaited Hunger Games Trilogy that comes to the big screen this Friday, others are supporting the small film, October Baby. While the most popular movie coming out is about kids killing each other for entertainment, October Baby stands out as a heart warming film, the complete opposite of Hunger Games.
October Baby is the story of 19 year-old Hannah who desires to be an actor, but can not succeed due to an obscure medical condition. All signs point to the fact that Hannah was actually adopted after a failed abortion attempt. Lost and confused, Hannah goes on a journey to find her birth mother and to shed light on her hidden past, while figuring out her uncertain future. You can find out more about the actors and the film itself at the October Baby’s website.
Not only does the film have a great message and an inspirational storyline, but the film’s producers will assign 10% of the profits of the movie to the Every Life is Beautiful Fund. This organization helps women facing pregnancy crisises, various adoption agencies and those who care for orphans. The organization’s goal is to help everyone realize that their life is beautiful.
Even though Hunger Games is hitting theaters this Friday, make sure to go see October Baby as well and help support the Every Life is Beautiful fund.
