With an abundance of films hitting theaters this Friday, you will not have any trouble finding something to watch. Some of these films include drama Salmon Fishing in the Yemen and comedy Friends with Kids.
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen follows Britain’s leading fisheries expert, Ewan McGregor (The Beginners, Ghost Writer), who is given the task of helping a sheikh’s bring fly-fishing to the deserts. Despite thinking the project is insane, the prime minister’s overzealous press secretary, Emily Blunt, decides to follow the story. Together, they put everything on the line to prove that the impossible can be possible and fly-fishing in the desert can happen. The film is backed by a great director, Lasse Hallstrom (Dear John and The Cider House Rules), and a wonderful screenwriter, Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire), to make sure that the movie is a successful.
On the other hand, if you are in the mood for comedy, Friends with Kids is a hilarious flick about two best friends who decide to have a kid while trying to maintain their friendship in order to avoid the toll that children can take on romantic relationships. While the film follows a very common story line, it is a light hearted comedy worth seeing. You can check both movie times on the Cinemark website.
