After the recent events involving Osama bin Laden’s death the book, “Lone Survivor,” has taken up growing interest because of its involvement with the U.S. Navy SEALs.
The book, “Lone Survivor,” written by Marcus Luttrell focuses on his team of SEALs, SEAL team 10, and their courageous battle with the Taliban in the mountains of Afghanistan in 2005. The battle earned many of the SEALs Navy Crosses and a Medal of Honor and is the biggest recorded loss of life for the SEALs ever. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is seeking a true story of heroism and to learn more about the men who complete our armies most dangerous missions. Warning to all who read this though its a real tear jerk-er but you will not be able to put it down. The book not only just tells Luttrel’s story of his mission but also gives you a great perspective on the life and opinions of a Navy SEAL.
I encourage anyone who is interested in the operation of Osama bin Laden to take up this book and read about the brave men who pulled off the dangerous mission.
