Fan of Starkid Potter’s productions, such as A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel? Have no fear: their newest production, Starship, will be premiering in the near future on YouTube.
The show premiered in February, and the trailer will be live on YouTube on April 30. The show follows an alien named Bug (played by Joey Richter, who played Ron in the Potter musicals) who longs to become a member of the Star Troopers, an intergalactic pirate force. The musical features puppets constructed by director Nick Lang, a script contributed by Brian Holden, music by Darren Criss (who now is featured on “Glee”) as well as many actors from the original Potter musicals.
On April Fools Day, Starkid uploaded a fake edition of Starship as a prank. Though it is not at all the musical, it is still humorous and a sense of what this troupe is about. Watch it here:
