The University Interscholastic League (UIL) announced its district realignments for the 2026-28 cycle on Monday, with Coppell High School placed in District 7-6A.
This realignment which occurs every two years confirms which schools are moving up or down in classification based on enrollment cutoff numbers released in December.
Beginning next season, Coppell will face a new slate of district opponents, including Richardson, which the Cowboys football team defeated 38-7 in the 2025 area playoffs.
