Riordan’s new spin-off series lives up to hype

Rebecca Neumann

Entertainment Editor

Like many fans, I was disappointed after I finished all of the Percy Jackson novels. It wasn’t that the ending was bad. On the contrary. It was very satisfying. However I didn’t feel ready to give up the characters or the world that Rick Riordan created.

Lucky for fans, the story didn’t end. Riordan began writing a new series where many of the characters bleed over  from the Percy Jackson series and the world is just exciting as ever. The series is called The Heroes of Olympus and book one, The Lost Hero, was released Oct. 12. It is a must read for those who enjoyed Riordan’s hit series. New characters and new challenges and quest are introduced, but the elaborate world is the same and just as entertaining as ever.
