Sex and the City should have stayed in the City

Story by Allie Perison
Editor in Chief

I am a huge fan of the Sex and the City series, so naturally I jumped at the oppertunity to see Sex and the City 2 at midnight. I have to say though, I was disappointed.

The movie failed to deliver the wit and charm of the series. The writing played mainly on stereotypical jokes that were more offensive than funny.

I found the characters that I had grown to love annoying, constantly complaining about petty things. All four women relied more on their men to give them happiness then themselves. Also, instead of enjoying a trip in a foreign land, they obsessed over old romances and faulty cell phone service.

Maybe this movie just appealed to an older audience, but none of the girls I saw it with liked it. It is clear that the cast of Sex and the City should have stayed in the city.
