Lost fans may lose to satellite

Satvika Ananth
Staff Writer

Though Lost fans will  be crowding around televisions next week to watch the final episode of the bizarre and epic show, nature may have other plans.

Experts expect a satellite that has lost contact with its control center to potentially pass in front of another satellite that will block the signal to Earth, and could interfere with cable television in the U.S.

It’s almost as if the universe has other plans for the series, which has captivated audiences for years after its debut as a sci-fi pioneer in an age where most popular television series were “whodunnit” crime shows.

Though I am no fan of the show, having never watched it and being too lazy to play the necessary catch-up, it’s not hard to understand the gravity of the possible interference. Fans everywhere will be devastated, and the world can only hope that nature doesn’t act as a force against the island and its mysterious inhabitants.
