Potential plans for Memorial Day weekend

By Will Thomas

Staff Writer

Are you looking for something to do this weekend?  Here is a list of activities you can try to make this weekend enjoyable.

1. Go see Star Trek Into Darkness. This is a film that made me, a total Star Wars  nerd, interested in Star Trek. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto play off each other so well, making the movie very enjoyable for everyone. Also, Benedict Cumberbatch is awesome.

2.  Take a trip to the lake. There’s nothing like the Texas sun in May to keep people active. Jump in, the water is fine.

3. Hang out with your friends. Watch movies, play video games, sign each other’s yearbooks or just chill.

4. Send relief to Oklahoma. Everyone can help the victims of the tornadoes tearing through our northern neighbor.

5. Watch the Texas Rangers game. The team may be out of town, but their games against the Mariners should still be on our televisions in Coppell.

So there are a few suggestions for Memorial Day weekend, have fun and stay safe.
