The varsity boy’s soccer team kicked off their home season off with scrimmage matches against both Allen and Fossil Rim on Monday, Jan 5.
The team went up against Allen first and in a great match up, which ended tied 1-1, the Cowboys showed some of the versatility they are known for. However, the team still has some work to do during this season.
“We worked a lot on the skills this offseason, and I think it really showed tonight” said Coach Chad Rakestraw. “Really once we get scoring, I don’t think there are many teams that can slow us down.”
The season officially starts this Thursday, Jan 8, as the Cowboys go up against McKinney Boyd at home in their first home game of the season at 7:30.
