Friday’s softball game between Coppell and Hebron started off high energy and stayed that way. The Cowgirls lost, 7-3, at the Coppell ISD Softball/Baseball Complex.
Hebron got four runs in the first inning.
“Some games we start off really strong, and we have to really lean on each other to finish,” Coppell junior center fielder Courtney Hargrove said. “Sometimes we start off pretty rough, and then we have to lean on each other to get back into the game. I think playing for each other helps us have even more energy.”
The softball and baseball teams had their annual Party in the Park for the community. Younger children attended the game, watching and admiring the Cowgirls.
“It honestly just motivated us more,” Coppell senior first baseman Cecilia Bourque said. “These kids look up to us so much, and we want to do good for them.”
Coppell played Guyer on March 30.
