The team also signed a soccer ball for display in City Hall. As a graduate of Coppell High School, Mayor Pro Tem Kevin Nevels shared his excitement for the team and thanked parents.
“Parents, thank you for all you pour into the young people of our community,” Nevels said. “You trust the school district and the community with them and we really appreciate that. Huge congratulations.”
Community member Diane Evans and citizen Mercedes Hall discussed plans to hold a Kiwanis Educating Youth (KEY) Club meeting to charter a new chapter into Coppell middle schools and elementary schools. This meeting will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Corporate Park at 651 Canyon Drive.
