Coppell voters seek better future on Elections Day

As Coppell looks ahead at the following school year, school board candidates and residents reflect on the district’s future and the conversations sparked by Saturday’s CISD School board of trustee election. Community members highlighted the need for strong leadership to focus on students as the district faces a city deficit and possible teacher shortage.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education on March 20. Due to this order, Coppell ISD could potentially lose 40% of its funding.
