Has spring brought rainy days to the neighborhood that keep you from going outside? Staying inside can be fun when you bake peach crumble. With a spoon of this sweet, warm dessert while sitting next to your window and watching the rain, this is how you can enjoy your day.

Ingredients:

For the filling:

1 can of sliced peaches

¼ cup of white sugar

½ cup of brown sugar

½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon

For the top:

1 cup of flour

¾ cup of oatmeal

1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

½ cup of brown sugar

¼ cup of white sugar

A pinch of salt

¼ teaspoon of baking powder

80 grams melted butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, add sliced peaches, white sugar, brown sugar, ground cinnamon and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In another large bowl, mix flour, oatmeal, ground cinnamon, brown sugar, baking powder and salt together. Add melted butter and mix well.
  4. Pour peaches into a baking pan, and save the juice. Add the crumble mixture before pouring the juice on the top.
  5. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until the top is golden and there are bubbles.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve warm.
  7. Top with whipped cream or ice cream to add more flavor.
