No matter how students felt about the newly instituted program (as some enjoyed it, others despised it, and several slept through it) MAP is now officially over.
With the last meeting held on thursday, MAP ended by presenting students with the dangers of cell phone use while driving. Having met once or twice a month for thirty minutes, MAP focused on topics such as driving safety, bullying and accumultaing donations for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
While MAP was considered a success by most members of the school’s administration and staff, it seems to have gotten a bad reputation by CHS students along the way. In fact, rumor has it that MAP will become a part of the daily schedule for next year’s students-whether they like it or not.
Although nothing about MAP has been verified for next year, one thing is for sure- MAP won’t be seen again until fall 2010.
