Anyone who has been to a Coppell football game, pep rally or band concert knows that the CHS band is full of talent. Each year, at the State UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest, the CHS band does especially wall.

This year, 167 students in the CHS band program traveled to Austin, Texas to compete. The turn out was extremely pleasing, as CHS brought home 52 1st division gold medals and 72 2nd division silver medals. That is a total of 124 medals for your Coppell Cowboys band!

CHS had the most students entered in the contest. Students from Coppell outnumbered all other schools, bringing three times as many students as any other high school band in the state of Texas.

The CHS band program wishes to congratulate all the individiual winners at the State Solo and Ensemble contest. Hopefully, next year the CHS band will be able to do just as well in the contest.
