CHS rallies up for Rally Week

The impact of Jack Barker’s support for children with childhood cancer has spread beyond just the collection of Snuggies and fundraising events at the high school, to a CHS ‘Rally Week Against Cancer’ sponsored by St. Jude’s Hospital.

Throughout the week, students are asked to help fuel the event by participating in each of the theme days. On Monday, students are asked to wear yellow to demonstrate hope for the end of cancer. Tuesday is Bandanas to Ban Cancer. Wednesday, students are asked to wear slippers for comfort, which we hope the sick children will eventually be in as well. Thursday is Hats On For Cancer patients day. And finally, Friday will sum of the week with a wear red day to “Red Out” Cancer.

During MAP class on Thursday, Feb. 4, students are asked to write letters to sick children. The MAP class that ends up with the most letters will be rewarded with one off-campus lunch.
