Coppell hockey, a storied program with lots of rich history, could be chasing yet another state title.
The Cowboys have won all of their first eight games and are 9-2 (23 points) including a 5-4 overtime win against Frisco and a 7-6 win against John Paul II.
Junior forward James Reaman leads the team with 11 goals and 11 assists, averaging 2.44 points per game. Junior defensemen Charlie O’Hearn is second on the team with 14 points.
As for the men in the net, sophomore goalie Dailen Haapanen has a 0.864 save percentage, averaging just two goals let up per game.
Head coach Cosmo Clarke, who was a player at Brock University in Ontario and has coached many teams since 2002 such as Jesuit, Plano West and the Dallas Warriors, has coached Coppell last season and this season.
