    Rangers-mania sweeps across campus

    By Gaby Moran
    Staff Writer

It’s that time of year when major league baseball is about to head to playoffs and the Texas Rangers fans are starting to believe in their team again.

This year, the Texas Rangers have a 79-60 record, with just 19 games left in this season, and are just two games behind the Boston Red Sox to clinch the wild card spot. The last time the Texas Rangers made the playoffs was a decade ago and it is about time for them to break the losing streak.

Even though their two best players, Michael Young and Josh Hamilton, have been out for awhile, the team has not given up.  The players that have been carrying the team with the most runs are Marlon Byrd and Ivan Rodriquez. While the team is doing well, they are hoping that Hamilton will start tonight and hope that Young will be back by Sept. 18.

Keep watching the Rangers and cheer them on in hopes of clinching a spot in the playoffs.
