The Coppell baseball team play the Euless Trinity Trojans, who are currently 6-1 in District 7-6A. The Cowboys are coming off their first district loss last Friday to Richland.
But with a win Tuesday night against the Trojans, the Cowboys are now 6-1 and tied atop the district standings with Trinity.
The Cowboys are ranked 11th in the state according to Texas High School Baseball. The Cowboys are one of the best teams in the state and are looking to get ready for a deep playoff run and have high goals for a state championship this year. The first step in that is the Cowboys goal of winning their district and this week is a big week for them in that goal.
Cowboys won Tuesday night in away game against the Trojans. Cowboys great pitching and defense led them to a 3-0 win, and a tie for first place against the Trojans and a first place game Friday at home for the Cowboys.
