Each year, Coppell High School holds two blood drives. This year, the CHS Red Jackets have taken on the task of hosting them, and the second one is being held on Feb. 13 in the small gym from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Students who are 16 and older can donate without parental approval, and those who are younger than that will need a signed permission slip. Students who have already signed up will get text reminders about what time they are donating, and what to do before and after the donation.
Seniors who either donated or attempted to donate at the first blood drive will get a red cord at graduation to acknowledge their contribution if they participate in the second blood drive as well.
