This Friday, Dec. 11, “Shoes for Orphan Souls” shoe drive will come to a close, after over a month of collecting shoes and other items such as shoelaces and socks. These items will be sent to children in Africa who are in need of basic necessities, namely shoes and other garments.
The drive began on Nov. 2, and has been active through all English classes, where a box was placed in each classroom in order to collect the items.
The TOMS club sponsored the drive, which is new to Coppell this year. The club has already begun to leave footprints on CHS by sponsoring this drive and by hosting several TOMS decorating parties. To learn more about TOMS, click here.
So CHS, if you are planning on bringing some shoes, socks or shoelaces, then make sure you do it by tomorrow!
