Every year, members of the CHS band and choir compete against each other in a no-pads, tackle football game. This may come as a shock to those of you who are not familiar with this.
However, this is not a new tradition. Right now, the record stands band, two wins and choir, nine, which means the teams have met eleven times. And this year, the band team decided to pitch in for jerseys to give more credit to the organization of the game.
The game is usually simple and the teams play to a certain number of points decided by the team coaches, normally 20 or 21. This year, the band team has practiced close to a dozen times and has prepared by scrimmaging the rugby team.
The band and the choir will play on Monday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. on the open fields by the soccer fields and the field house.
