In a little less than two weeks the junior class will be taking its last three tests for the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skill (TAKS). The juniors will be testing from April 23-25 taking the math, science and social study tests. The junior class is the last grade level that will have to take the TAKS test as all of the other grade levels (except seniors) will be taking the State of Texas Assessments and Academic Readiness (STAAR).
Many juniors are excited about finally being finished with TAKS testing after almost eight years.
“I am extremely relieved that TAKS testing is over, especially since we have been taking the tests since third grade,” junior Alex McCraken said.
