Students prepare for upcoming SAT

By Caroline Carter
Staff Writer

Though the first day of spring break is this Saturday, many students will be spending their morning taking the SAT.

The SAT is a standardized test for college admissions. For some juniors, this will be their first time to take the test, but others took the SAT offered on Dec. 1 or Jan. 26. To prepare for the test, numerous students have taken SAT courses to become more familiar with the curriculum on the test as well as learn test taking strategies. A few popular places to take test prep include Karen Dillard’s College Prep, C2 Education and the Huntington Learning Center. There also many online resources for students to utilize to prepare for the SAT.

On testing day, students must bring their ID, admission ticket, pencils and calculator. Cell phones, laptops, pagers and cameras are some of the items prohibited on testing day. Good luck to all students taking the test!
