This past weekend, qualifying band students went to Duncanville High School to compete in the pre-area round of the All-State audition process. Of the students who went, 47 advanced to the area competition.
Pre-area was the second round of competition in the process. The first, region, hosted around 900 students, 100 of whom proceeded to pre-area. There were 60 spots for students to move on to area.
Band continues its record-breaking streak this year. The area competition will be on January 12 in Bryan.
