I have always been of the opinion that bullying prevention should never be left to the students. Although I wouldn’t say bullying is an epidemic at any CISD campus, there is no harm in creating awareness and putting the solution to the problem in capable hands.
As part of the district’s strategic plan, a greater focus will be placed on bullying, particularly that which is conducted electronically (affectionately known as cyberbullying). In order to drive this point home, renown public speaker Richard Guerry will give a presentation on the topic entitled “Public and Permanent.”
The presentation will be Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at CMSN.
