At the annual joint-convention of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) and the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) in September, Coppell ISD will have its time in the spotlight. The convention will be run by TASA President and CISD Superintendent Dr. Jeff Turner, and CISD Board of Trustees President Anthony Hill will also take part in the convention’s leadership.
After being nominated by a fellow trustee, Hill was accepted into the 2013 Leadership TASB Class. This group meets five times a year and represents school board leadership across the state.
The group’s focal topic will be educational reform, an issue that seems to be at the top of every school district’s list of priorities (see CISD’s new tagline: “Operation Transformation”). Hill will have the unique opportunity to take what he learns in training and apply it to CISD.
