Students in CHS’s Latin Club have been brushing up on what they know this week to face off in the State competition for the Junior Classical League.

Tomorrow morning they will set off for San Antonio to Tom C. Clark High School for the competition which will pit their knowledge of Latin and Roman life against countless schools from around the state of Texas. The contests at the convention range from academic tests to dramatic readings of famous Latin speeches and even a costume contest. The convention lasts from Friday evening and goes all day Saturday.

Last competition, the students brought in 22 ribbons, so let’s hope they can bring in some more!
