iWin $10,000

Almost any person with an Apple product is familiar with iTunes, the place where we get our music, our apps and our movies.

Have you ever wished that you could have almost unlimited access to all of the great things you can buy in iTunes? Well, now you can.

ITunes recently started a promotion to draw more people to download apps. It’s called “App downloads: countdown to 25 billion.” Basically, the person to download the 25 billionth app will receive a $10,000 iTunes gift card.

You can see how far along the countdown is on the Apple website or on iTunes. Unfortunately, the countdown only applies for apps, not music or books.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t great things to buy in the app store. iTunes is home to several fun games like Scramble with Friends, Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja. If you’re worried about paying money for these apps to win the countdown, you can always download free apps that offer just as much excitement.

Currently, there have been 24 billion app downloads. It’s only a matter of time before someone presses the lucky “buy” button.
